After leading various underground combos in Rome Italy, S.O. has played since 1993 with , a band formed in 1980 by Don Preston, Bunk Gardner and Jimmy Carl Black, legendary former members of Frank Zappa's even more legendary MOTHERS OF INVENTION.

Many successful Europe Tours (performing in Germany, Austria, Italy, Portugal, Switzerland, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Slovenja, Croatia, Czech Republic, Hungary, Belgium, Holland, France, UK and Ireland) led the GRANDMOTHERS to celebrate the new Millennium with a ten week tour in the United States to promote their live CD "EATING THE ASTORIA", before self-destroying.
